Where to hunt Topi
Topi is reputed to be the fastest antelope on the African continent. They are closely related to the Tsessebe, Korrigum and Tiang. Tope or Topi is named after the Swahili word for the species. Topi naturally occurs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. They may only be hunted in northern and western Tanzania.
Price distribution
Daily rates vary according to the length of the 10, 16 or 21-day hunt and the other species selected to be hunted during a client’s safari whilst the trophy fee for a Topi is US$ 1000.
When to hunt Topi?
Topi may be hunted from 1 July to 31 December in Tanzania. They are best hunted in the winter and autumn months from July - October. By October/November the heat is intense in these parts of Africa so be prepared if you hunt later in the year.
