TAILOR-MADE PLAINS GAME SAFARIS The Eastern Cape is blessed with large game populations that are constantly growing in number. The exquisite hunting terrain, from rugged mountains and thickly bushed valleys, to long stretches of open grassland plains, offers a challenging African hunt for the inexperienced or professional hunter alike. Best suited to “spot and stalk” or “walk and stalk” rifle hunting, the additional opportunity to bow hunt is available. Bow hunting is mainly done in well-constructed blinds, but as most of our hunting is done in the dryer months, the option to walk and stalk is available. Our game management plan, with conservation as the main outcome, ensures that the game is in prime condition. Our dry and cool season coincides with the main hunting season (April to October) which provides comfortable hunting conditions. MINIMUM HUNT DURATION: 5 hunting days & 6 nights. With the day of arrival and departure, this safari requires a total of 7 days. ADDITIONAL DAYS: Can be booked at the regular rate. HUNTERS: 1 Hunter x 1 Professional Hunter. Invite a friend(s) and get a discount on your trophy fee. OBSERVERS: Welcome Trophy & Cull Hunting Hunting is conducted in an efficient and ethical manner and the large variety of prime condition species makes trophy hunting with us, a truly memorable experience. Using well-trained trackers and skinners, your trophy will be cared for and correctly handled. Your PH will offer you as much advice as you deem necessary to be certain in your animal selection. All PHs used by us are qualified and where possible a member of an accredited association. With our management plan, there are opportunities for management (cull) hunting. These hunts are very important as they keep the biodiversity and animal populations in harmony with the land. Combined Cull and Trophy packages are available. We reserve the right to change any terms, conditions and prices without notice. Rates at the time of the hunt will apply.

Private Hunting Camp
The tents are all fitted, depending on the guests requirements, with either 2 three-quarter beds or a king-size bed with heated blankets. The tents have electric lighting as well as electrical points for most appliances, including heaters for the cold winter months. Transformers are available for your 110v electrical items if required. Many a great hunting story has been relived in the Hoof and Horn, our bush canteen where cold drinks, beers, spirits and fine wines are always available. Meals will be a mix of contemporary foods and a selection of venison cuts from our own butchery. Client’s dietary requirements will be obtained and catered for.

- Cancellations received 120 days prior to commencement of safari will be refunded the full deposit, less bank charges and exchange control.
- Cancellations received thereafter shall forfeit the deposit unless it is transferred to an alternate hunting date. If the alternate hunt is cancelled the deposit shall be forfeited.

Will return again
I've hunted with Hotfire two times and I will return. Patrick and his staff were excellent. Patrick worked had to find the animals I wanted to hunt and had everything all set up when I arrived. He was also able to adjust our plans as the hunt changed.
