- Fisher is an outfitter and hunting guide based just outside Manhattan in West Orange, NJ. Learn to Hunt NYC was established in 2013 in response seeing the challenges to starting out as a hunter faced by adult hunters living in urban places. Our focus is to give beginners and novices the opportunity to learn all the essential skills they need to be able to go off and have success on their own.
- No experience is necessary, hunter education is not required, and many hunters are able to harvest a deer, turkey, or squirrel on the very first hunt of their lives with us.

The package includes two deer hunts per day. Does not include the cost of weapon rental or your hunting license. Gun or Crossbow Rental is $50/day. Please contact us to confirm dates before booking. NJ 2024 Season Breakdown: Bow/Crossbow: Sept 14 - Feb 15 (First deer must be antlerless Sept 14 - 27) Shotgun: Dec 2 - 7, 18-20, Jan 4 - Feb 8 Sunday hunting is Bow/Crossbow only

Excellent hunting experience
I liked that there was an emphasis on educating me how to hunt. After a few times out, I have a level of confidence that would allow me to go solo if I wanted to.
Hunting is hard. It takes a few times out to be successful. I wouldn’t say that I didn’t like that. It’s part of a larger learning process.
Can’t wait to get out there again
