About this hunt
PLEASE CONTACT OUTFITTER DIRECTLY FOR AVAILABLE DATES. Spring predator hunts in Idaho include the ability to hunt bears, mountain lions, wolves and coyotes all at the same time. We will set some strategic bear baits for your camp before you arrive, so you can spot and stalk, use electronic calls and sit a bait in the evening to increase your odds on this Idaho backcountry predator hunt! All this in a Do-It-Yourself hunt package, i.e. a drop camp, where a wrangler will pack you into a preset camp, show you where the baits are and turn you loose on an ultimate predator hunt in Idaho’s rugged backcountry at an affordable price. Our drop camps include packing you and your gear in and you, your gear, and your game out from camp. You do need to get your game to camp for pack-out at the end of your hunt. Our camps comfortably house 2 (minimum) to 4 (maximum) people and include everything you need for camping except: your personal gear, food, water filtration system, some small propane bottles (~4) for the Coleman stove, spare batteries for the lantern (uses 3 AA batteries) and a Garmin inReach Satellite communicator or Satellite Phone for communication. Starting January 1, 2025, anyone hunting black bears in Idaho must show proof that they have passed a bear identification test to help them differentiate between black bears and grizzly bears. The test is available online.

Castle Creek Outfitters. The place to go.
What an experience! A great hunt. Kelly,Jenifer,Tello and Tia are wonderful hosts. Pushed me to the max. Passed my stress test many times. A genuine, wall tent, wilderness hunt. If you are a fat old man, looking for a 50 yard shot at an elk tied to a tree, go to a "game farm". If you are looking for the real deal, this is it. I now have "rugged elk hunt" bragging rights.
Loved every bit of it. Wish we had shot an elk, but it's about hunting. Not about shooting.
It was the most amazing hunt that I have experienced in my interest life food was great accommodation was great people where above and beyond expectations
All of it there was nothing bad about the hunt it was everything I would expect it to be and it exceeded my expectations
Nothing
