About this hunt
For all our birds hunts we are offering a full guiding service at 3x1 basis. A full guiding service means that the guide takes care of the hunters for the entire trip. We hunt on private lands and the guide is always with the clients. We have a lot of wild birds: woodcocks and grouse, an average of 30 birds on point a day and sometimes, with the woodcocks migration, over 50 points a day giving our hunters opportunities for lots of shooting. We offer the service of 6 Brittany dogs, you can use your dog or ours, this is up to you. We accept up to 9 hunters per week. Openings: Week 21 to 27 September - 3 Week 28 Sept to 3 October - 3 Week 4 to 11 October - 5 Week 12 to 18 October - 0 Week 19 to 25 October - 4

Where you will hunt
Territory
We are located between Montréal and Québec city, along the St-Lawrence River plain. This area is close to two wildlife reserves and a national park. Abandoned lands, marshlands and farmlands in the area form a productive biotope for wildlife. American black bear, woodcock, ruffed grouse, white-tailed deer and moose are found here in great number. We hunt exclusively on private lands. For the American woodcock and the ruffed grouse the abandoned farmlands and the clear cut are perfects habitats for nesting and migration. We did apply a very strict harvest plan the latest years, now we do hunt a spot once a week and sometime once in 2 weeks. This means that we let the migration birds go through and harvest a little part of it, so the next year we have birds coming back and nest in our spot to rebuilt the bird population.

I took my bear the first day which was awesome. The only problem was that I was there the rest of the week with little to do. Use of a fishing pole would have helped.
The experience. Tree stand hunting and the camaraderie of the group. Food was good and guides instructions were awesome.
Needed something to do after I took my bear.
Great hunt with family like atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and prepared. Just great!
High success rate in a very friendly camp.
I ate too much! Great food.

It was everything he said it to be.... 30 flushes on Woodcock and 5 flushes on Grouse every day. The land you hunt is thick with under growth, but that is where the birds are.
The Champagne family made you feel at home, with all home cooked meals and family talk at the dinner table.
One area had mosquitos to warm.....
