Being a licensed Manitoba Guide and Outfitter for 12 years and born into the Outfitting Buisness. Brendan Liske takes pride in ensuring his guests get the high quality world class hunting experience that they signed up for. From scouting, to guiding, running our team of guides and of course the office he makes sure that all details are covered to get the best out of your hunt. On the off season Brendan and his fiancee Carissa raise 3 little outdoorsmen. (Chase, Rhett, and Kane) And spend every extra minute of spare time quading, hiking, hunting, fishing and traveling beautiful Western Canada. They also own and operate an electrical company as well as a bison and pig ranch with upwards of 75 head of bison and 50 pigs.

- Black Bruin Outfitters is a 2nd generation Outfitting Business which currently specializes in providing "World-Class Waterfowl Hunts" in the heart of the Central Flyway based out of Roblin, Manitoba, Canada. Black Bruin Outfitters is Owned and Operated by Brendan Liske. Brendan acquired the Waterfowl Outfitting territory in 2023 from his parents Rick & Colleen Liske owners of Agassiz Outfitters who still provide World Class big game hunts for Deer, Bear and Moose as well as Wolf Hunts. This waterfowl territory has been running in the family going on 33 years this fall. Brendan and his fiancée are currently raising their 3 sons in the same outdoor lifestyle he was raised in so they can carry on the family outfitting tradition one day!
- From growing up in the waterfowl fields helping set up decoys since he could walk, to growing up at a hunting and fishing lodge learning to provide hunting and fishing experiences to the highest standard in the industry, to obtaining his guide license at the age of 18, to obtaining his outfitting license at the age of 22, to guiding big game and waterfowl for the family business for over 12 years, he can confidently guarantee that you and your group will leave our teams camp as a life-long friend that will have hunting memories you can cherish the rest of your life!

About this hunt
We offer "World-Class" Waterfowl hunts in the heart of the world renowned "Central-Flyway" in the mid-western region of Manitoba, Canada. This is a 33 year run family business that ensures our clients get the "World-Class" experience that they signed up for. Come as guests, leave as life-long friends and repeat hunters. What makes this area so special is it is one of the first stops our migratory birds are stopping at after the long trek from the northern tundra across the vast northern Manitoba boreal forest and when they arrive they are greeted with pristine grain fields, rolling hills (amazing scenery for our guests), many lakes and of course pot-hole country. This perfect combination is the RECIPE for "world-class" waterfowl hunting. To top it off this area is where our family originated from Germany many generations ago. With that being said many of our relatives are land owners who farm the exclusive fields we have access to totaling over 15,000+ acres of EXCLUSIVE permission. Majority of our hunting is over fields harvesting greater/lesser Canadian Geese and BIG Northern Mallards however we have access to many untouched potholes/lakes for the die hard water hunter. Upon arrival to camp you can expect a warm welcome from Brendan Liske and his professional team of scouts and guides. We will then have a meet and greet in our private conference room with a pizza and wing night to kick off the hunt. We will then go over hunt details, ensure licenses are issued and all legalities are covered so we can get to telling hunting stories to kill the evening. Whether you are on a 3 or 4 day hunt we have professionally catered high end lunches and suppers to ensure you go home a few pounds heavier then you arrived. Lost Meadows Resort
The accommodations are at Lost Meadows Resorted in a beautiful valley overlooking Lake of The Prairies, a fishery that has an abundance of walleye that you can catch off shore in front of the lodge or from a boat. Ask about out waterfowl/walleye combo packages, birds hunting in the morning, walleye fishing all afternoon into the evening! All of our cabins are fully winterized and equipped with many extras. Bedding and towels are provided for the number of guests that we are quoted when you make your reservation. All water at Lost Meadows Resort is drinkable.
