About this hunt

BC is well known for having the highest density of Black Bears in North America and with our salmon spawning rivers, abundant berries and 3000 square miles of prime remote bear habitat, our bears get big. We have produced top quality trophy bears every year by managing our harvest very carefully and focus on harvesting big mature Boar Bears. Our Spring Black Bear Hunts are spot and stalk fair chase hunts with over 100% success rates for the last 20 years. Our spring bear hunters usually see between 20 to 60 bears during a five-day hunt, the weather being a huge factor. In the Spring we hunt the clear cuts and logging roads and focus on areas that have south facing exposures as these areas green up first, the big Boars also begin the rut in May. With the high density of bears in our area we are able to focus on harvesting Mature Trophy Bears with record book bears harvested each spring. These spring bears have beautiful winter coats that make exceptional rugs and mounts. Most of our Black Bears square out between 6 foot and 7 foot.

A hunters hunt!

8.7 of 10

Hard working dedicated guide(s) A sober/non-alcoholic camp Remote nonpressured territory My guide and the others that I met all worked VERY HARD to get their client's on game; It was very evident that a successful hunt was THE objective.

Not a huge deal but a little more thought on getting some good pictures and a clean tarp for meat transport

Amazing experience with Inzana Outfitters in BC

9.7 of 10

Paul and his guides are high energy, positive, and eager to put the effort in finding and harvesting the species being hunted. Paul has vast knowledge of BC and a extremely large hunt area with litte to no hunting pressure. Pauls area is true wilderness proven by the abuduntant game animals we saw. During our stay, my wife and I saw moose, grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, mule deer, elk, whitetal, and a variety or small game and waterfowl. I heard elk bugle, wolves howl, and moose grunting-it does not get any better than that. I harvested a great Bull Moose and a large black bear boar during my stay and two other hunters in camp also took bull moose while I was hunting. Paul and his guides handeled the skinning and prepping hides and made arrangements for alocal butcher to process our meat. Paul has remote outpost cabins surrounded by multiple lakes that provide a hunt where you see game tracks and your own-no one else. I felt many of the game animals we saw likely had never seen a human before; this is big country, wild, and pure; if you are looking for adventure, its the real thing. I dont know where else you can see this beautiful of country and see this many different game species in one trip!

My only challange was dealing with customs with my gun. I have hunted in Canada several times before but always had my final destination at the airport of entry. This time because I was flying into Vancouver and then on to Prince George I had to re check everything in Vancouver and that caused me to miss my connecting flight. When I return, I will utilize Pauls collection of high caliber rifles which he rents; that would save a lot of time, hassle, and money.
