About this hunt

Alberta has a two-bear limit, so on this hunt you can harvest two bears if you choose too.  The price of your hunt includes one bear, if you choose to harvest a second bear a $1750 (USD) trophy fee will need to be paid in cash at camp. Quality photos will be taken of your trophy for your lasting memories.  After photos, your bear will be skinned with care and placed in one of our freezers along with the meat if you choose to keep it.  You will be provided a leak-proof type of container to transport your hide(s)/meat home with you in a frozen condition.  We bait very aggressively at all our bait sites often with several 55-gallon drums at each site.  We provide a great variety of different baits that keeps the bear interested and coming back for more.  We’ve found the best way to look over a trophy bear is at close range; our bait sites are set up for shots at about 20 yards.  All of our bait sites are strategically places in prime black bear habitat to attract large numbers and of course large bears. Its hunting and we know that sometimes things happen even at 20 yards things can go wrong.  Our guides are highly trained in tracking and recovering animals. They will make every effort to retrieve your trophy.  In the event that the guide is unable to recover the animal it will be considered “tagged” and the second bear fee will be required to continue hunting. Daylight in Northern Alberta in the month of May is about 18 hours. The weather in Alberta is very unpredictable at this time of year, you may experience some freezing temperatures, snow squalls or it may be as high as 70-80 ° F. You should bring layers of clothes, rain gear and good boots. Northern Alberta generally has mosquitoes and black flies so don't forget a thermal cell, spray or even a head net. A good pair of warm gloves, head cover and goggles to protect your eyes from dust & debris from the long, cold ride on the ATV's coming back to camp from the stands, which maybe up to 20 miles.

Amazing Bear Hunt!!!

10.0 of 10

The communication from the beginning till end was absolutely amazing!! I could not have enjoyed this hunt more. From the absolute amazing staff, owner, guides etc. They literally were the definition of above and beyond. The bear hunt was amazing, bear everywhere! I could literally go on for days and have to everyone i knew on just how incredible the hunt was. I even got a day of fishing in on the river, which looked just like a Bob Ross painting of untouched Canadian wilderness. Food was amazing, camp was fantastic, shower was warm, people were fantastic. Had a spot to check my bow settings before hand and get shots in. I will never go anywhere else to hunt and would go back every year if I could. This was my hunt of a lifetime!!!!

Stand chairs could have been more comfortable especially since you can have 8 hours in a stand. Some of the stands needed a little bit of updating but all that was shared with the outfitter and they were already addressing that.

Went out for a deer hunt with David and was amazed by the number of deer in the area and their size. David is a terrific guide that is very knowledgeable in all things hunting.

Nothing.
