More about us
Our company was established in 2006 and operates in 1 territory.
We are located 210 miles northwest of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The Boreal Forest surrounding Dore Lake teems with a wide selection of birds and wildlife. The lodge facility is cozy, rustic and just the right size for personalized service.
About this hunt
Due to our remote territory, the minimal human presence, and the absence of hunting pressure (25 tags per year over 240,000 acres , with max. clients between 15-18 per year), the Black Bear population is healthier than many other places. The chances of getting a Black Bear over a 5 day hunt are excellent. It is very likely to get a color phase bear (black, blond, chocolate and cinnamon with white blaze spots on their chests). During the bear season, each hunter will have the opportunity to do some fishing after he harvests his trophy. The lodge is on the lake front; providing great spring fishing (mainly northern pike and walleye) even from the docks. Gear to bring: — Gun and /or bow, ammunition, no hand guns please — Fishing rod (we have spares) — Bug spray, net (if preferred or Thermacell) — Own safety belt if preferred — Rubber boots, rain gear — Rifle hunters must wear red, blaze, yellow or white, or any combination of these colors, must have red or blaze hut, — Black powder and bow hunters may wear full camo — Mid afternoons can reach 30°C, cooling possibly to 0°C at night. Layers are best, so you are ready for any weather — Camera and binoculars

Family Bear hunt
They took care of everything and gave me and my son a great experience.
Nothing
Val and Vi work very hard to see that all of their clients have an excellent experience. You will have to look very hard to find a pair of people who will work harder to provide their clients with an excellant experience. Val put us in front of lots of bears and Vi kept us very welll fed and made sure all of other needs were met back in the lodge.
The number of bears that frequented the bait stations was impressive. Val has a number of stands that are large enough for the hunter to bring their own comfortable chair which is critical for me given my bad back. The meals that Vi provided were all excellently prepared and delicious. The rooms were spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and bedding.
I ate too much and gained some weight, I will have to work off the weight for my trip to Tower Lodge next year.
Father Daughter Bear Hunt
Virtually everything! I honestly felt like I was visiting family for a week. I was sad to leave and I cannot wait to get back.
If I had to give ANY critique, the stands could use a little updating, but once you get used to them, they are more than fine.
