About this hunt

Our Teton Wilderness Mule Deer Hunt is the ultimate experience for avid hunters looking to challenge themselves and immerse in the rugged beauty of the Teton Wilderness. Situated in the heart of Wyoming’s breathtaking landscape, our hunt offers an unparalleled opportunity to track and harvest trophy Mule Deer in their natural habitat. Season is currently from 9/15 to 10/20 – Antlered mule deer or any white-tailed deer.  Clients’ preferred hunt dates will be given based on a first come first serve paid deposit basis. Early deposits will get clients the best chance of requesting dates.  We will help with draw applications if the client requests at no additional cost.  These trips are horseback trips with pack animals.  Pack animals will be mules, horses, or llamas.  Hunts take place in Unit 148 primarily.  This is the Non-Resident Region L General Tag.  The hunt is a 7-day hunt with two days dedicated to horseback travel and 5 days dedicated to hunting.  Clients will stay in our Wilderness Base Camp and hunt from there each day.  Clients will be taken each morning to a glassing location to glass for Mule Deer.  We will pursue any mule deer that the client chooses.  Typical Client to Guide ration is 2:1, but we offer the chance for the client to request 1:1 service for a $1500.00 upcharge.  Trips include meals, drinks, etc.; however, alcohol will not be supplied.  Clients must bring their own personal gear.  If the client does choose to drink, we will not take them hunting the same day or while intoxicated.

  • killed for the purposes of our service contract.
  • 2. End of Hunt Clause: In accordance with our service contract, the hunt is considered
  • concluded once the animal has been taken, whether through a clean kill or if wounded. This
  • ensures that our clients understand their responsibilities and the terms of their agreement
  • with Soda Peak Outfitters.
  • 3. Treatment of Wounded Game: It is our ethical obligation to make every eƯort to locate and
  • recover wounded game animals swiftly and humanely. Our experienced guides and tracking
  • teams will be deployed immediately to track and recover the wounded animal to minimize
  • any suffering.
  • 4. Client Responsibilities: Clients are required to cooperate fully with our guides and follow
  • their instructions during the recovery process.
  • 5. Safety Considerations: The safety of our clients, staƯ, and the welfare of the wounded
  • animal are paramount. Clients must prioritize safety at all times and follow all safety
  • protocols and guidelines established by Soda Peak Outfitters during the recovery process.
  • By adhering to this wounded game policy, we aim to uphold the highest standards of ethical hunting
  • and ensure the welfare of the game animals we pursue.

Final Payment: Final payment is due upon successfully drawing a Wyoming tag for draw tags. For over-the-counter tags, the final payment is due 60 days before the scheduled hunt date. Reservations within 60 Days: Reservations made 60 days or less before the selected date require the full payment at the time of booking to confirm your date. Deposit Policy: All deposits are non-refundable. Cancellation Deadlines: If the trip is canceled within 60 days of the scheduled date, the customer is responsible for the full trip price. Refund Process: If you cancel your trip more than 120 days prior to your departure date, we will retain your deposit and credit it toward a future trip with Soda Peak Outfitters. If you cancel 120 days or less but more than 60 days prior to your launch date, you must pay 50% of the trip price. If you cancel within 60 days of your trip departure, you must pay the full trip price.
