About this hunt

Come experience the hunt of trophy size black bears while enjoying all the natural beauty northern Canada has to offer. We are a professional bow and rifle guiding company that can accommodate group bookings, individual hunters and non-hunters. Start your adventure by first making your way to Fort McMurray International Airport where you will be greeted by our professional staff. You will then board Cessna Caravan for a short 45-minute flight over majestic oil sands and stunning lakes to the most remote outfitting camp in Alberta. Our camp is impressive, it includes high-end outfitting tents with all the amenities including heaters and cots, a dining tent, semi commercial kitchen (chef included), a shower house with unlimited hot water and Star link satellite for internet. In camp you will also find a realistic moch bait site complete with a tree stand which provides hunters the opportunity to ensure accuracy of their equitant prior to heading out in search of their trophy bear. After getting settled, our team of professional guides will lead hunters to their stands to begin the hunt for the perfect black bear. Our bait sites are “up close and personal’ with a shooting distance averaging 18 yards. This provides hunters the exclusive experience of watching these amazing creatures at close range and the time to ensure they choose the ‘right one’. The bait sites are extremely active all day long but the ‘big boys’ tend to roll in later in the evening. These monster bears have great genetics, with huge heads and array of color phases. Our company has some of the best hunting guides out there! It is important to our team to not only provide the opportunity to harvest a world class bear but to also include some of the luxuries of home. We prioritize safety and an environment which ensures clients leave as friends. Join us for the hunting experience of a lifetime we guarantee you will never forget!!!

All of our bait sights are monitored closely with trail cameras. All bait sights have multiple bears feeding at different times of the day. We share the photos with hunters before they go to the stands in order to help them identify a target bear. We only put hunters on known active bait sights.

100% my favorite hunting trips I've ever gone on and I have over 200 animals with my bow. I've never experienced anything like it. With most new hunting trips and outfitters, you're slightly hesitant about what you're getting into but with Embarrass River outfitters it was truly "come as a client, leave as a friend." The bears were plentiful. On a 7 day trip I sat only 3 times, saw about 50 bears and bowed a huge brown phase color bear with my compound and then a juicy black one with my recurve. The food was amazing and the starlink/campfire set up with a TV mounted on a tree is unlike anything I've ever done. You fly into a runway in the middle of nowhere made during WWII and are just constantly having a good time. The guides were out of their way amazing as well. They brought golf clubs which you can smack golf balls down the runway and throwing axes. It was the best 7 1/2 days I could have asked for

Pretty much everything

Mosquitos and the dust on the trails is quite literally the only issue but that's just northern Canada. Can't fix it
