The hunting territory of Castile and León encompasses a vast and diverse landscape, stretching across multiple provinces in central and northern Spain. Covering an extensive area of approximately 94,000 square kilometers, it is one of the largest autonomous communities in the country, offering a rich tapestry of habitats and wildlife. Within this expansive territory, hunters can explore a variety of environments, ranging from rugged mountains to rolling plains and dense forests. Riaño, Mampodre, Somiedo, and Picos de Europa are rugged mountains, located primarily in the provinces of León and Asturias, are renowned for their populations of chamois (rebecos) and red deer (ciervos).
