About this hunt

This hunt takes place in two provinces of South Africa: Free State and KwaZulu Natal. The first part of this Safari being in the Free State province - high volume Dove Shooting. Expect up to 1000 shots per person per day. Here you will stay in a luxury lodge, overlooking the majestic Vaal River. The second part of the Safari will take place in Kwazulu-Natal. Roelofsz Safaris, has access to some of the best Waterfowl hunting areas in South Africa. We have 14 species of waterfowl that can be collected during our hunting season: 1 May to 31 August. Some of the common species to expect are: Yellow-billed Ducks, Red-billed Teals, White-faced whistling Ducks, Egyptian Geese and the huge Spur-winged Goose. Expected volumes: Ducks: 10 -20 per gun per shoot Geese: 10 -15 per gun per shoot Day 1: Arrival day Day 2: High volume Dove shooting in Free State Day 3: High volume Dove shooting in Free State Day 4: Rest / Travel day to KwaZulu Natal Day 5: Duck & Geese Shooting in KwaZulu Natal (Morning and afternoon shoots) Day 6: Duck & Geese Shooting in KwaZulu Natal (Morning and afternoon shoots) Day 7: Departure day Total of 7 days, 6 nights and 4 hunting days. Our main lodge features a comfortable and relaxed dining room, cosy lounge, bar with viewing deck, open fire place attached to the lodge and a swimming pool with a thatched gazebo, offering our guests a welcome retreat after a day in the African bush. Our meals are your typical South African cuisine which ensures that you will never go hungry and will enjoy every bite that is carefully prepared by our cooks. Accommodation is in 6 double en-suite thatched Chalets, all with air-conditioning. Cool off on those hot African days in the lodge's main swimming pool or enjoy a refreshing drink at the bar overlooking the beautiful landscape of Zululand.
