About this hunt
This hunt is a true Backcountry Elk Hunt. $6,500 per person for 1 hunter 1 guide or $5,850 per person for 2 hunters 1 guide. You will be accompanied by a guide to ensure your safety and give you the best opportunity to harvest a big mature bull. This is a 7 day hunt, the first day is pack in with the possibility of hunting that evening or on the ride in, and the last day is reserved for packing out and transporting you back to Missoula. We pack you in on horse back 15 miles to our Base Camp where your hunt begins. During your 5 full days of hunting you will ride or walk out of camp to pursue elk by either calling, spot and stalk, or still hunting. Your guide will provide you with information on which tactic will be the best option for taking a big mature bull. We ride into Base Camp where we have a full time cook, a hot shower and a relaxing camping experience. Our Base Camp is 15 miles into Idaho's back country and gives you access to some of the most remote elk hunting in the lower 48. If you tag out early or are extremely saddle soar our camp sits right on a blue ribbon trout river and you can spend your day fishing or relaxing at Base Camp. Our staff will make sure you are comfortable on and around our well seasoned stock before we embark on your hunt. We do our best to keep you comfortable during the duration of your trip so when it comes time to go after bull you have the energy. Our guides do everything in their power to make sure we put a good bull in front of you. Our area holds a large variety of legal bulls and gives you the trophy potential to kill the bull of a lifetime. Idaho's Unit 10 is a first come first serve elk tag, if you are looking for a future hunt you can get an elk tag fairly easy in Idaho's tag system. We also have Allocated tags for our hunters meaning if this add is still up we have a tag for you! Wolf tags are available for an extra $31.75 and are highly encouraged to purchase.

Wounding
- We follow a policy that is widely followed by Outfitters and Guides worldwide. A “wounded” animal is deemed “wounded” by the guide immediately upon the shot. It could be the way the animal responded when shot, could be blood, could be he/she saw the arrow or bullet strike the animal. Ultimately the final call is up to the guide. He/she makes the determination immediately upon shooting, whether or not the hunter agrees. We strive our hardest to retrieve any and all game animals shot but if the animal is not recovered your hunt is finished. You are welcome to stay for the allotted time of your hunt and either relax in camp or do some fishing.

Combining a great outfitter and an incredible area makes for a wonderful trip
Friendly and helpful guide staff. They make you feel like family and go out of their way to make the trip enjoyable. The camp is in a beautiful area, and seeing vast amounts of it from the back of a very trustworthy horse is an amazing experience. We saw all sorts of wildlife, including elk, wolf, moose and mountain goats. My guide was able to set me up for shots that worked well for my hunting and shooting style. All in all a truly life changing experience.
Nothing!
A hunt of a life time
With the experience you get riding 20 miles to the base camp on horses and mules, I didn’t think the trip could get any better than that. I was so wrong, the manager jade and his crew went to great lengths to making us feel at home even tho we were 20 miles deep in the back country of Idaho. The way they had camp set up was amazing with sleeping tents a shower tent, kitchen tent all ready for us to get start once we arrived there. I was in total shock about how good the food was and they even had freshly baked desserts for us after a long day of hunting. With good conversations and plenty of laughs in camp the experience me and my brother had was by far the best. We will definitely be going back !!
ID archery elk hunt
Excellent accommodations for a backcountry camp, friendly staff. Low elk density but they seemed more naïve then most public land elk.
horseback in rough country required being off the mountain by dark for safety reasons, basically taking away the best of the evening hunt.
