- We provide a premier New Zealand hunting experience! We have access to some of New Zealand’s best trophy hunting terrain and a world class hunting guide to help you explore the country.
- We call it an ‘experience’ because there’s so much more to it than just a hunting trip, your adventure will include good old Kiwi family hospitality and an endless list of non-hunting activities. This is all made possible due to our location in Lake Hawea, only a short drive from the popular Lake Wanaka Resort and Queenstown, the bustling adventure capital of NZ.
- Barry Dodds (Doddsy) has been hunting all of his life; he’s been a professional guide around the region for years and has also hunted throughout Australia and South Africa - so he knows a thing or two about stalking trophy animals.
- Tony Dodds (Son, also known as Doddsy) has grown up hunting with his dad since he could walk. Tony loves to be out in the mountains camping out and stalking some of New Zealand's best animals on offer.
- To experience New Zealand hunting at its best, get in contact with Doddsy. He can take you on the trip of a life time, stalking the internationally famous red stag, or his favourite hunting prey – the Tahr. Both are in abundance right on the doorstep of his Hawea homestead.

About this hunt
Ever dreamt of hunting Red stag in New Zealand? This is for you! We have had a cancelation from the 7th-10th march 2025. This size is in a class of it's own- the perfect size that looks enormous, but is clean and tidy. This hunt is for a Gold class red stag around 400 inches (385-420"). This is for a 3 day hunt for the 1 stag. Accomodation will either be in one of our hunting cabins, or at a lodge where we can pick you up and drop you back off at night. You can add on other animals like: Fallow Buck Arapawa Ram Wild feral goat Himilayan Bull Tahr Elk Chamois

Homestead
Located within the main homestead, but is private and contains an ensuite for guests. All meals are also provided to guests, and are cooked to a high homemade standard. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and beverages.

Hunting cabin
One of our hunting cabins is nestled up on top of our hunting grounds overlooking a lake. It is used if we are hunting multiple animals out there, or you as the client want more of a "Hunting feel".
