Kodiak’s healthy population of Blacktail, combined with its unparalleled landscape, make the island a hunting destination you don’t want to miss! Whether your interested in quickly locating your great eating spike buck on the beach (affording you time to catch a few bonus fish) or are on a quest for a world class animal high on the ridge, We will put you in position to be successful. Comfortably glassing with your binoculars from the cabin of a 26ft aluminum landing craft will help you save energy and capitalize on the opportunity when it presents itself!

Lodge
The lodge is a 1,500-foot heated wood “cabin” situated on Uyak Bay. The lodge was built by hand by Nick and DWL volunteers - all wood was salvaged from the sea and milled onsite. Guest lodge cell phone (GCI is the only mobile service tower in the area and cell phones of most guests won’t work) Wifi (anticipated arrival in late 2020) Electricity for charging all your devices and gadgets Large deck with dramatic views of the ocean, mountains, Uyak Bay, and an eagles’ nest right next door Spacious (1,500 sq. ft.) secluded cabin New memory foam mattresses New bunk beds Heat Outhouse Outdoor hot shower facility Access to Main Lodge kitchen, dining and coffee areas

The hunting was good u had to work for it which I liked the hospitality was awesome and am excited to get back up there one of these years
I loved my outfitter and the the cook the accommodations where amazing and the food was top notch
The area had a little more hunting pressure than I would’ve thought that being said it’s a very big area to hunt and I no I didn’t even scratch the surface I saw deer everyday
