Adventure experience of a lifetime!
This is a journey for specific people. It is so much more than just a hunt. Culture, adventure, travel and hunting entwine to make this a fascinating overall experience. Very few hunting permits are given annually in Nepal. Each hunting block only has one or two animals killed each season so populations are high with many being of old trophy quality. The guides are excellent. The outfitter, cooks and sherpas work very hard to give you the best experience possible. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food is very good. Elevations are high so you must be in reasonably good physical condition. Be able to walk and climb slowly. The guide sets a steady pace that will allow you to get in position for shooting. Practice marksmanship to give yourself the best opportunity for success. Standing animals at 100-400 yards are very possible. Any physical training prior to your hunt will be a benefit for your success. I highly recommend this trip to an experienced mountain hunter.
Only about 25 hunters come to Nepal annually. There is quite a process for your outfitter to obtain your firearm permit. You may need to be patient for this to happen after your arrival. I went on a guided tour of Kathmandu consisting of temples, ancient cities and sights. It was very interesting and educational while waiting for my rifle permit. Have confidence that your outfitter will complete the process.
