Buck Horn Outfitters is a small family owned business, we are about Quality Not Quantity! My husband and I have been outfitting all our adult lives and are always in camp with our hunters, we are also blessed with the crew we have, they have been with us for years, know the area, and are excellent Guides!

We have 3 Mccall zone A tags left for our 2024 season, and can accomodate a 3 person Archery DIY Hunt. The Tags are only Available until July 16th! On this hunt our packers will pack you into a area where we have been seeing sign, our area is on the south fork of the salmon river in unit 25. We will provide horses for you to ride to the camp spot and pack your camp gear, goceries, and hunting gear into a spot that we have been seeing sign and try to get you in a area that dosent have alot of other DIY pressure, although it is on public land and we cant garuntee you wont see other hunters. On this hunt you will need a Inreach texting device ( or something similar ) to stay in contact with our packer, if you get game down we will bring our pack mules and get the game back to town to the freezer. You will need your own camping gear and groceries for this hunt. You can also bring a rifle if you choose and add a bear and / or wolf tag to the hunt!

Outfitter Tom & Sara were nice to work with & the guides worked hard & took us all over trying to get us on bears. Meals from Sara were delicious & our cabin stay was comfortable too. I’d recommend them to anyone 😊
Although no fault of the outfitter/guides, there was an unusual amount of early Spring snow that seemed to hinder the bears coming out of hibernation.
