I am a third-generation Alaskan that has lived a subsistence lifestyle for over 45 years. Hunting, fishing, and trapping have always been a part of daily life for me. Growing up in a remote area and living off the land I learned wilderness survival and hunting skills at a very young age. I love teaching these skills to others, especially my two children Conner and Sylvia. I have been an Alaskan Big Game Guide since 2004 and truly enjoy sharing Alaska’s beautiful yet rugged wilderness and all of the opportunities it has to offer with my clients.

This horseback hunt takes place north of the Arctic Circle on the south side of the Brooks range. The use of horses allows us to cover a vast area that would otherwise be very difficult to hunt. You fly into a remote gravel airstrip where we will meet you with a string of pack horses, load up your gear, and lead you to our rustic yet comfortable base camp. From the base camp, we will take horses further into the mountains and set up a spike camp consisting of two tents, a small kitchen, plenty of good food, and an astonishing view of the landscape. Generally, we will hunt on foot from there, occasionally taking saddle horses on day trips to cover more ground. THE OUTFITTER WILL TAKE POSSESSION OF MEAT UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE BEFORE THE HUNT. BASE PRICE OF $32,000 INCLUDES; PRIMARY SPECIES: MOOSE, GRIZZLY + SECONDARY SPECIES: WOLF, WOLVERINE NON-HUNTER OBSERVER FEE $6,000

Real deal epic adventure
Tim has it figured out. He works hard, preps everything before you get here. He's also an excellent skinning/fleshing. Takes his time... perfectionist. I was able to take out a nice Grizzly with my Bow... & I had multiple nice Black bears that I probably shouldn't have passed on. Be prepared & have a great attitude & you will love this place & hunting with Tim. Meals & Bed we're spot on as well!

Gorgeous country. Great 1x1 hunt. Tim is serious about being a top guide. Works hard. Takes good care of all. Experienced.
Others in camp saw limited game. Legal rams were a challenge as was the wet foggy weather.
