More about us
Unser Unternehmen wurde 2014 gegründet und betreibt 5 Reviere.
- I have over 30 years of hunting experience in Greenland, both winter and autumn hunting.
- Our two main products are: winter hunting in the period March 1 to April 10, with a focus on Muskox, combined with hunting of Caribou and small game, and autumn hunting from July to October for both Muskox and Caribou.
- We don't provide luxury service in terms of accommodation and meals, and the trophy hunter participates in the work to fix animals, cook and take care of the camp etc - on the other hand, our prices are very favorable for the hunter who does not want to spend a fortune on a hunting trip.
- Our hunting trips are focusing on the whole experience, so we live in the camp out in the hunting area, and bear hunting as close as possible to an authentic experience, so it's out in the wild and the whole event is held so it's more like hunting buddies who are on hunting together where you share the work, and the animals have a chance.
- All guides speak english.
Über diese Jagd
This is a 4 day Muskox hunt package with 3 full hunting days and 1 trophy Muskox license included to the price. Musk-ox don't change their fur like Caribou, so the summer skin is just as beautifull as winter skin. Winter skin just have more wool under the fur, so they are a little thicker. This type of hunting is very different from the other trophy hunting companies: on our autumn hunts the hunter participates not only in the ordinary camp work, but also with carrying camp equipment, and food, etc. to the camp, carrying trophy and meat down from the mountain, and carrying camp equipment back to the road after the hunt. So the hunt is held in a very authentic and traditional manner, and is sometimes a hard work, so in the better condition you are, the more you will get out of the trip. So there are no carriers and additional hunting guides to take care of everything. The hunt is done on foot. So you have to be in a fairly good condition, so you can walk 5 km out, and 5 km back with 30 kg on your back in varied terrain. But the longer you can walk, the better are the chances for big animals. You need to bring a sleeping bag. The meat can not be exported according to the EU regulations, but you can bring up to 10 kg with you on your flight out of Greenland (please check meat import rules for your country). All harvested meat is used, either for human consumption, or as dogfood for my dogs depending on the quality. Here from 2026 we do exclusive tours, so there is only two hunters pr tour. But you can be up to 4 hunters if you come as a group, will still be 1:2 guiding. Its 3 huntingdays, but you can add a extra day, but not as individuals, a extra day is everybody or nobody hunters. You can add caribou on this hunt, but they are up high in this warm period, so its long walks. Availability 2026: Tour 1 - 31/7 to 3/8 - sold out Tour 2 - 7/8 to 10/8 - 1 opening Tour 3 - 14/8 to 17/8 - 2 openings

Success rate
We have about 98 % success rate for caribou, most are large animals. For Muskox our autumn succes rate is about 95%, and almost all animals are old bulls. But it is significantly more demanding than caribou hunting due to the weight of the trophies and meat, so the hunter must be able to carry his 35-45 kg trophy by himself. So hunting Muskox in autumn is extreme hunting, only for the wery well trained hunter.

Jagdgebiet
All of this area is in the World Heritage Site. Concession area 11 is about 22.500 acres, and here we hunt in July, the first two hunts in August, and during all of October. The area is bounded by another concession area to the west, and a free hunting zone to the east. Transportation to this area is faster, just about 2 hours from the hunting camp, and all luggage is transported by a car and a boat to the camp. The easier access to the area results in many local hunters being there at the end of August and September, but at this time we are hunting in our other concession area. There might be local meathunters in the area, but no other outfitters.

Camp
Our hunting camp is next to a big lake in the south side of the concession area, right where the best hunting in the area starts. The two first hunts in august in there is only tentcamp. The octoberhunts is with big heated kitchentent, and heated mobile cabin for sleeping.. There will be 1 guide per 2 hunters, and there will be some work with cutting meat, salting and drying meat, skinning and preservation of trophies, and different camp work. So it's necessary that everybody helps out so that the guides have time enough for everything. We bring normal food, breakfast products, bread and cold meats, and we eat the meat from the animals we shoot, with potatoes and rice etc. After the hunt you stay at Kangerlussuaq Youth Hostel as included in the price.

Anreise
When you fly here, then you travel to Copenhagen airport in Denmark, from there you fly with Air Greenland to Kangerlussuaq in Greenland, where we pick you up at the airport. It is possible to fly over Keflavik in Iceland to Nuuk and then Kangerlussuaq. But it can give some problems with delays and luggage, and the price is almost the same. So we do not recommend that route. In 2025 a new airport opens i Nuuk and that will be the main airport, and with better flight conditions than now. So by then it should be easier to get here from north america. US-Iceland-Nuuk-Kangerlussuaq. Even thow is possible to fly direct over Copenhagen, its more safe to stay overnight in Copenhagen, and if you come from far away like the US, then 2 nights is better. Its up to you to get here on the correct date. You must bring your home country hunting permit and/or weapons permit. This is required by the hunting adminstration. When bringing your own hunting rifle you also need to bring the weapon papers for that rifle to show at check on with the Airlines. Check in with hunting rifle at AirGreenland takes about 30 min extra because of paperworks, and the weapon has to be handed over at a special counter. But this is not complicated to bring a hunting rifle.

Quality trophy hunt.
Guides were very knowledgeable of the area. There was a lot of game and trophy quality animals.
The food was sub par. We ate the same thing every day. I was unaware of the exchange rate between US dollar and Denmark currency. This added an extra 800+ dollars to my trip. Also the cost that the outfitter charged to ship my trophies from Greenland to Denmark seemed higher than the actual cost of shipping. Once an animal is down the guide takes it back to camp. It’s the Hunter’s responsibility to take the trophies out of camp at the completion of the hunt. This hike is extremely difficult and not suited for most hunters. Or you can pay the outfitter. This can be very pricey. The reason why they charge to get your trophies out is because most Foreign hunters do not tip. American hunters tip so there is a bit of confusion. What I did learn is if you pay the guide to take your trophies out the fees that they charge is their tip. I carried my trophies out myself and tipped due to the confusion

Great adventure. Not your average hunt with a lot of physical hiking. Very remote. Expect to do 5 mile hike in and out with your pack. Walking sticks were helpful for the hike in and out. Then 5-12 mile hikes per day for hunts. Guides and helpers were very experienced, friendly and helpful. They will pack out trophies for minimal fee.
Pack for every kind weather but for sure cold wet nights. Cold but manageable/comfortable sleeping huts. Be ready for blisters and wet feet.
Excellent and challenging experience
Trophy Hunt Greenland was an exceptional experience. The professional hunters and guides were very knowledgeable and hard working. This was a perfectly challenging hunt but not for the faint of heart. Equivalent to a back country elk hunt in the United States. Ability to hunt small game and waterfowl after our trophies were harvested was as exciting and action packed as the hunt for large game. The variety of game we ate was awesome and delicious.
Hard to find anything to complain about.
