Among Victoria's most sought-after game species, the sambar is the third largest and one of the most difficult to hunt deer in the world. On this hunt, you will be able to hunt a free-range stag as well as shoot all pest animals found in the state, such as foxes and rabbits. The multiple properties we have access to across the state enable us to choose where to go at different times of the year. This is a 5 day hunt (all inclusive), and travel can take half a day to the hunting area and half a day back so allow 7 days all up. Included in the hunt will be 1 stag up to 25’’ (stags over 25 inches will have extra charges) plus an opportunity for any cull stags or a hind.

Brendan is an excellent guide, I enjoyed exploring the area and got a nice sambar stag thanks to him! I can only recommend this hunt.

Best Guided Hunt I've Ever been on
I liked that the guide talked everything thought with us, and we had input on what we did. He was very knowledgeable about the property that we were hunting and was able to put us on multiple shooters. Even the after hunt was an amazing atmosphere, sitting around a campfire talking about what happened that day and what the next day might bring.
Wish I didn’t shoot my deer first 20 minutes the first morning, but still had a great time hunting with my friend the rest of the time.
Sambar Hunt
Brendan has quite a number of connections providing options for alternative places to hunt when animals were scarce in a particular area. Certainly a plus as game numbers changed from years past on a couple of stations. The supplied rifle, ammunition, and other gear performed very well.
