Bohor Reedbuck have sandy-coloured shaggy coats with a white underbelly. The huntable subspecies of Bohor Reedbuck found in Cameroon is known as the Nigerian Bohor reedbuck. The males have thick necks and short, stout, forward curving horns with inward-pointing tips. They are exclusively grazers and never found far from water.
The Bohor Reedbuck are found in the Northern Cameroon Savannah regions.
Bohor Reedbuck are typically found mostly in large-scale sump grasslands. These water-dependent animals are exclusively grazers and as the grazing quality declines during the dry season, so do these animals' habits from feeding mostly at night and some keep grazing during the daylight hours as well. Their communication call is a loud whistle.
Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, no special hunting permits are required. A hunting license must be purchased before the hunt.
