Warthog hunting in Cameroon {{ totalToursString }}
Warthogs, depicted as “Pumba” in Disney’s Lion King are one of Africa’s most comical animals. Named after the protruding warts on the sides of their head, of which the males have two pairs and females a single pair. Both sexes have prominent curved tusks.
Warthog can be hunted in the savannah regions of Cameroon.
Warthog uses their tusks for rooting and digging up short high-quality grasses. They can often be seen kneeling whilst performing this task. These mostly diurnal species are always found near water and sleep in disused burrows where they build a nest and give birth to their young.
Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, no special hunting permits are required. A prearranged hunting license must be purchased before the hunt begins. Warthog trophies exported to the USA need to comply with the USDA trophy import regulations.
