Saddleback impala hunting in Namibia {{ totalToursString }}
The Saddlebacked Impala was first bred by South African game breeders from the Common or Southern Impala and is a colour variant and not a subspecies. Limited numbers have now been imported to Namibia.
A Saddlebacked Impala looks very similar to a normal Impala in colour but has a noticeably darker back from which it has gained its name. Currently, numbers are limited and hunting opportunities are few but their numbers are increasing which will make them more accessible and affordable to the hunting fraternity. These animals are randomly scattered throughout the country in a select few game ranches.
Saddlebacked Impala is classified as an animal of least concern by the IUCN and exported as a Common Impala.
