Our territory is found in the Pyrenees, where it is possible to find red deer in large quantities. . Native from France, the chamois (rupicapra rupicapra) is in the goat and sheep family. This animal can live in rude territories in high altitude or in lower altitude. That’s why our territories are in an elevation range of 1200 to 2400 meters. Because of this elevation, snow is unpredictable. That’s why chamois hunts are from the beginning of September until the beginning of November to avoid snow, which makes the hunt safer. The roe deer is a little European deer, the male will loose his antlers at the end of october. A good physical condition is essential to do this type of hunt.
