Reedbuck hunting in Mozambique {{ totalToursString }}
The only Reedbuck species found in Mozambique is the Common Reedbuck. This is the largest of the three species of Reedbuck.
Two subspecies of Common Reedbuck occur in Mozambique. The Southern or South African Reedbuck is found south of the Zambezi River and the Northern Reedbuck occurs to the north of the river. These khaki-golden-coloured medium-sized antelope are mostly associated with water-rich environments, floodplains and tall grass habitats. Common Reedbuck have a characteristic bald spot below the ear and pulp around the base of their horns. Apart from their horns, their colouring and some behavioural traits, they could quite easily be passed off as the equivalent of an African Whitetail.
Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN. No special hunting permits are required to hunt this antelope.
