Kudu hunting in Botswana {{ totalToursString }}
Kudu or rather the Southern Greater Kudu are found country-wide in Botswana. Their numbers increase from west to east as the browse availability increases from the desert regions to the savannahs in the west.
Kudu, a name adopted from the local Khoikhoi tribe are one of Africa’s most recognisable antelope and the African equivalent of an Elk. They have massive corkscrew spiral-shaped horns making them one of Africa’s most sought-after trophies.
Kudu is able to jump very high and when running away from danger the bulls need to keep their heads tilted backwards with their horns pointed backwards along their backs to prevent them from becoming entangles in the branches of a tree.
Kudu is classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN.
