We are your premier outfitter in southeastern Wyoming.
I grew up hunting and fishing in the Sierra Madre and Snowy Range mountains around Encampment Wyoming with my family and friends. I have a passion for archery, especially archery hunting elk. I am as well a certified archery technician and have been a member of the ATA (Archery Trade Association) since 2009. This can be a benefit to the guest if you are interested in doing an archery hunt!
I love to spend much of my free time in the field learning more about the areas I hunt and guide in. I will always go the extra mile to make sure you will go away with an experience that you cannot forget!

About this hunt

We have a wide variety of hunts available to hunt mule deer. These hunts can be in the lower sage brush country or can be in the high alpine areas of our units. The sage brush country usually consists of spot and stock. There are lots of canyons and draws in these units. The camps are 4X4 camps. We will use our four wheelers to get from place to place. We do not hunt off these machines. Our guests can bring their own if they have one available. These hunts are a little more flexible so we can hunt them with archery or rifle. We can do a combo archery/rifle hunt if you desire. The high alpine areas will be either a horse back hunt or back pack hunt. Best times to hunt these alpine areas are during archery season. Price of Mule Deer hunts: Season dates vary so check with us to be sure you apply for the correct permit! - Application date: January 1st - March 15th - Desert or High alpine mule deer - Bow: Sept. 1st-30th - Rifle: Early season Oct 1st -14th Late season Oct. 15th-31st

The terrain will vary depending on the type of hunt you are wanting to experience. The hunts can be in high alpine areas at or above 10,500 feet or as low as 6,500 feet for antelope hunts.

Where you will stay

Camp

All of our hunts are wall tent camps. We like to provide the full outdoor western experience. The camps are fully furnished w/ food, cots and wood stoves for heat etc. All the hunter needs to bring is their weapon, sleeping bag, personal hygiene products and whatever else they believe they need for the next few days. Hunts will be conducted by 4X4, ATV, on foot and on horseback. This all depends on the area we will be hunting. We will not hunt from a vehicle or an ATV. These are used for travel only! We keep our camps and meals very versatile, we will accommodate to whatever the guest needs. If you have a particular dietary need that is required or something that you would like to request, just let us know and we will accommodate!
