About this hunt
Our area is in Unit 17 in southwest Alaska, just north of the famous Bristol Bay. This hunt is only for the hunter who is interested in a true Alaskan adventure. Our camps are all in remote locations and are accessed only by small wheel planes. You will arrive in Anchorage, Alaska with the required gear list. From there you will fly to Dillingham, Alaska and you will be provided a night stay with one of the great lodges there. The next morning our charter partner will pick you up at the runway in Dillingham and you will be flown into Big Alaska Outdoors main camp and from there your respective spike camp. Your spike camp is outfitted with spacious tents, cots, lanterns, kerosene heaters, propane stove, REAL home cooked meals, tables, chairs, private pit-privy, emergency supplies, and a professional staff. You will enjoy a 10-day hunt or more depending on the species interested. We can also package trips together for this time of year if a hunter is interested in going after more than one species. Count on at least 2 travel days on each end of your hunt dates. Our method of hunting this time of year is Spot-and-Stalk. A hunter can expect the day to day to consist of at most 2 miles of walking but mainly using binoculars to glass the expansive landscape from a strategic position depending on the animal targeted. We have different camps and locations depending on species and dates. Once you harvest your animals, all meat and trophies will be salvaged and shipped in accordance with Alaska game laws. Your cape will be fleshed, turned, and salted by the staff. Any meat will be hung in clean dry bags and every attempt will be made to keep meat clean, dry, and bug free. From there your meat and trophies will be flown back to Anchorage where our expeditor will pick them up, finish any work left to prep it for the tanning process, and prepare for shipping.
