Pete started his outfitting company in 2007, after he gained enough knowledge and experience learning about the unique animals and vast unforgiving terrain of the Alaskan wilderness. Peter started guiding for other outfitters in 1993 and has acquired thousands of hours flying his own aircraft in Alaska. Peter has been blessed with the opportunity to have hunted in three different countries guided and flown for countless guides in Alaska and has met all sorts of people. He has learned and applies this knowledge for his clients to help them enjoy, be safe and most of all, to be successful on their hunts.

About this hunt
Black bears are an animal that you can hunt anywhere in North America. I have not experienced anywhere, even the interior, the unique hide of the bears we hunt. With the abundant food, berries and great genetics, we average 6 to 61/2 foot and occasionally see a 71/2 footer. You will book you airline ticket and hotel room to Cordova Alaska where you will be met. You and your 50bls of gear and weapon will be shuttled to your hotel room. Prior to arriving you should have purchased all your hunting licenses and locking tags on line at the ADF&G web site. Following day we will fly out to camp where there will be comfortable tents for sleeping and a kitchen tent for conversation and eating. The soothing sounds of the beach waves only a half mile away will lullaby you to sleep each time your head hits your pillow on your cot. From there your hunting begins. You and your guide will hike to where you will glass for your game and put your stock on. Your trophy will be cared for so your taxidermist needs only to just let it dry. Turning of the ears, nose lips, eyes and paws. Then fleshing and salt added. The meat will go to good use either you take it home or we will share with the local community and ourselves. Once we return to Cordova you are checked in at your hotel then we will get your hide and skull sealed at the ADF&G together (Alaska dept. of fish and game) it is now legal for you to fly home with your trophy. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DAYS QUOTED ABOVE ARE THE NUMBER OF FULL DAYS YOU WILL SPEND HUNTING. A TRIP LISTED AS 5 DAYS WILL ACTUALLY BE 7 DAYS WITH 1 DAY TO FLY IN AND 1 DAY TO FLY OUT, 10 DAYS IS 12 DAYS AND 12 DAYS IS A 14 DAY TRIP 5% Sales Tax Will Be Calculated And Added In Your Final Bill

Success rate
Every client we have had up to date except for one, went home with a beautiful black bear. This time of year we are glassing the hillsides with new fresh grass and skunk cabbage growing. These plants begin to grow first near the coastal plains and beaches. Then in late June the wild strawberries bigin to produce fruit.

Where you will stay
Tent Camp
In the fall we will be staying in the Bear Country Lodge there in Cordova on the Eyak Lake while in town. Then it all turns into the adventure of spike camps in comfortable cabela and Artic oven tents with heat, cots and all the necessary kitchen utensils needed to cook home meals while out in the field.

Trip of a lifetime
This was a once on a lifetime trip for me 2024 coastal brown bear hunt. We seen 10+ bears every day. Caught halibut and shrimp and collected mussels. We ate like kings. I don't think they could have anything different they spend alit to make sure I had a great experience. Peter is an excellent outfitter and hope to do other hunts with in the future.

Pete is just a really down to earth guy who quickly worked out what our capabilities were and adjusted our days accordingly. He is loads of fun and we shared lots of laughs. We got serious when we needed to and got excellent trophies.
