More about us
Our company was established in 2004 and operates in 2 territories.
- In 2004 the company was established by Gavin Lipjes, a veteran houndsman who has hunted Leopard across most of its Southern range – from East coast Mozambique transversely to West coast Namibia.
- We seasonally prove to be a top choice for an old-style African safari conducted in epic unfenced wilderness. We possess access to a network of prime leopard country, seasoned hounds, skilled trackers and modern equipment, all meshed to present a professional service in line with modern game conservation principles without losing an emphasis on traditional business values.
- We principle resolve is to act sustainably based on a deep respect and admiration for nature.
About this hunt
This expansive 240,000-acre hunting block is strategically located just South of the Zambezi Delta, adjoining the renowned COUTADA 11 and COUTADA 12 concessions on its Northern and NorthEastern boundary. To the West, the concession borders the game-rich GORONGOZA National Park, separated only by a dirt road. Our camp offers a high level of comfort and includes all essential amenities, along with a few extra comforts to enhance your stay. Access to the camp is possible either by road, which involves a scenic 5-hour journey, or by a convenient 45-minute air charter. The charter cost will be quoted separately should you opt for this mode of transport. Daily opportunities for trophy selection abound, with herds of buffalo frequently encountered. The area also boasts an abundance of plains game, almost guaranteeing hunting success. You can expect encounters with endemic species such as Livingstone Eland, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, Nyala, Reedbuck, Chobe Bushbuck, Oribi, Suni, Warthog, Bushpig, Yellow Baboon, as well as three types of Duiker antelope – Red, Blue, and Grey. Our hunting strategy typically involves early morning drives along the sparce roads to search for fresh signs of moving bulls. Once we identify a promising spoor, we track it on foot until the BUFFALO is sighted, thereafter closing in until we are within a reasonable distance for trophy assessment. This is a critical moment where we decide whether to take the shot or wait for a better opportunity. Old DAGGA BOYS, in particular, are highly prized and receive most of our attention and effort. Our goal is to stalk to within 50 meters whenever possible, although in some cases, a longer shot may be necessary, never exceeding 100 meters.
