More about us
Our company was established in 1988 and operates in 2 territories.
- Deep Creek Outfitters has always ran our guiding business as a “quality over quantity” operation. When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you will likely be the only hunter in camp. This means that each client typically has multiple guides helping to fill the needs of each client.
- We also pride ourselves on offering great camp accommodations for every hunt. Our camps typically consist of travel trailers, wall tents, or backcountry camps depending on the clients wants and needs.
- When you book a hunt with Deep Creek Outfitters, you can be assured that we have scouted hard prior to the hunt to ensure the best chance of harvesting a quality animal. We spend many days in the field running trail cameras and glassing for big game.
- The bottom line is Deep Creek Outfitters is operated by guys who love to spend time in the mountains. We guide because we enjoy doing it and want to see our clients succeed, not because we need to do it to make a living. The number one priority of all of our guides is to give each client the hunt of a lifetime.
About this hunt
Deep Creek Outfitters offers guided desert and California bighorn sheep hunts in ALL OPEN UNITS in Nevada. The best unit is whichever unit you can draw a tag in. Every unit in NV has great rams. Living in southern Nevada, we are located right in the heart of Nevada's best sheep hunting. Living here gives us the opportunity to spend more time in these units scouting for your hunt. We have a great group of guides who work hard and have many years of sheep hunting experience. Deep Creek Outfitters has the best accommodations and rates that Nevada hunting guides have to offer. Nevada offers “any legal weapon” (rifle) hunts to residents and non-residents for desert and California bighorn sheep. There are also a handful of new archery-only desert bighorn hunts. Depending on the unit, it may have an early rifle hunt during September/October, or a late rifle hunt during November/December. We have guided sheep hunts in most units and are confident we can find you a trophy ram in any unit. ***Nevada does not offer OTC tags and is a draw-only state so you must apply and draw a sheep tag in the drawing. To get an idea of your drawing odds, here is a link to past drawing statistics: https://www.ndow.org/blog/bonus-point-data/ If you have any question about what units to apply for, please contact us during the application period (April-May) and we can recommend some units. Our favorite units vary from year to year based on what rams we are finding in each unit. If you have any questions about our sheep hunts, please give us a call today and let’s talk about your future hunt!

Nevada Hunting Camp
Camp accommodations can vary depending on the clients desire and needs. On hunts close to roads we typically have travel trailers and/or wall-tents and use trucks/ATV’s. Although these are “road hunts” we recommend being in good shape because a lot of hiking can be needed to avoid other hunters. We also try to utilize the horses to access remote areas whenever it is feasible. When hunting the backcountry, we use horse/mules/llamas to pack-in lightweight tents or wall tents. The backcountry hunts require a lot of hiking in steep terrain, so we recommend being in good physical condition to increase your odds of being successful.
