Our company was established in 2015 and operates in 2 territories.
- When two like minded individuals with similar ambitious ideas cross paths, it is only inevitable that something great should come from it. Combining their passions for the outdoors, people and hunting, Michael and Dempsey have formed a company that focuses not only on the hunt, but also the experience given to each client. Many years down the road we continue to proudly deliver that excellent service time and time again.
- With access to some of South Africa's top hunting areas we have been able to deliver unmatched trophy quality year in and year out. If not being guided by Michael or Dempsey, we have world class guides that have been carefully selected and vetted by us to ensure that you, the client, have the best possible experience and also ensure a successful and memorable safari.
- Due to our rich German hunting heritage which stems from Michael’s ties to Germany we have enjoyed a hugely eclectic group of clients from around the world. If you can name a hunting nation, the likelihood is that we have guided someone from there! Typically we attend a number of hunting trade shows from January to February every year and it's always a pleasure to meet up with old and prospective clients alike.

About this hunt
Good day BYH community, We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying reminiscing about all the wonderful adventures you hopefully embarked on this year. If not then hopefully you are busy planning your next one! We had a wonderful season seeing old clients again and new clients for the first time! Our Sable hunting is something we are very proud of and something we have put a lot of thought into over the years. We have some truly incredible genetics on our properties, not only in horn length but also in their coloration. Our bulls are typically that classic pitch black coloration upon reaching maturity, and this is something we have focused on through years of management! We also hunt bulls with a focus on age. Sable are a fast growing animal and as a result can be hunted whilst still a bit on the young side. We aim to hunt bulls that are past this younger stage and hopefully with some secondary growth! Our areas range in distance from 2 and a half to 4 hours drive from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg where we will collect you personally before heading off to the hunting area. Our camps/lodges range from 5 star lodges to a beautiful tented camp in the classic old school "Hemingway style". Our management plans seem to be paying dividends as we were lucky enough in 2022 to hunt 1x Sable over 46 inches, 3x Sable over 45 inches and a bunch of bulls in the 44 and 43 inch zone. in 2023 we hunted 1 bull over 47", 1x bull over 46 and a large amount of bulls between 42" and 45". Just as an interesting side note the Sable antelope used to be an animal only reserved for royalty and thus it was named a "Royal Antelope". It is however now another one of South Africa's major conservation success stories! Due to years of intensive breeding and population redistribution this once rare species is now becoming more and more accessible to the average hunter. *Add a buffalo for USD$9900

From those wanting a more rustic bush experience to those that prefer a few more creature comforts during their trip - we have it all. All members of the family will be able to relax and unwind in our exclusive areas and you can rest assured when deciding to bring your spouse along that she will be more than pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. After a hard day's hunting at any of our lodges, guests can always look forward to a traditional South African campfire whilst exchanging stories under the African nights skies.

- Trophy fees not included in a package
- Flight to and from Johannesburg International Airport and any national flights from one concession to the next.
- Hotel accommodation before and after the hunt – if desired.
- Hardtack (whiskey, brandy etc)
- Night hunting. An additional $80 per hunter per night
- Firearms and ammunition. (Rifle Hire @ $45/Day)
- Taxidermy, packing, insurance, transport.

Wounding
- Unfortunately with the amount of predators, diseases and the ease of infection, any game that is wounded, has to be paid in full according to the price list or package. But rest assured, we have some amazing trackers and great PH's that will try their utmost to find any wounded game even after you have left. Shot placement is key, if you listen to your PH, and hit them in the right spot, they won’t go far.

Unbelievably and unforgettably
Absolutely professional Michael’s team. His own PH level is off the scale. Trophies are just unreal. If you are looking for a real Africa and a real honest hunting, then you are here The movement of a herd of buffaloes somewhere nearby in the bush, an eye-to-eye look at a distance of less than 20 meters, PH luring the buffalo even closer and an arrow flying to an incredible trophy… This is something I’ll never forget. Thank you guys, thank you Michael, thank you Africa!

Instantly understand their client's needs and preferences and taylor the safari accordingly. Enthusiastic, excellent tracking, lodging, skinning, easy-going and hard-working. I highly recommend.

Extremely knowledgable PHs and excellent trackers. Hosting and accommodation is second to none. I have hunted with the guys on more than one occasion and usually have another hunt planned at all times !
