More about us
Our company was established in 2010 and operates in 4 territories.
- My name is Dustin Roe, Owner and Outfitter and for the past 20 years I have been a professional guide specializing in high-end mountain hunts including Sheep, Grizzly, Goat, Moose, Caribou, Elk and others. I was born and have grown up the East Kootenay Region of BC. but fell in love with the North in 2003 and have been going every year since.
- In 2017 I purchased an amazing territory in Northwestern BC. and now Ceaser Lake Outfitters in the Yukon. With our close proximity to the Yukon/BC boarder and several shared waterways we have both the population and great genetics for the some of the world’s biggest Canadian Moose in the BC area with a yearly average over 53”, and several moose over 60” each year, it’s no wonder that our Cassiar area is becoming “the place” to fulfill a dream moose hunt. Backcountry BC and Beyond feels we can provide one of the greatest hunting adventure you will ever have. Contact us for more detailed information about the hunts we offer and our spectacular 18,300sq MILE exclusive territories.
- Our goal is to be one of the most respected, knowledgeable and professional operations in Canada; to have guides and clients who want to return; to make a difference in people’s lives; help people experience nature; to promote trophy hunting in a positive and ethical way so that future generations may enjoy the same; to have our clients have a special, safe hunt, and to feel that we have worked hard to provide that experience.
- Please visit our website for full detail on all hunts we offer and dont hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
- We look forward to helping you plan and execute your hunt of a lifetime.

About this hunt
With our close proximity to the Yukon and several shared waterways we have both the population and great genetics for the some of the world’s biggest Canadian Moose. With an average over 53”, and several moose over 60” each year. When comparing PRICE do so with Alaska/Yukon Moose hunts, as genetically this is what were hunting with the bonus of being classed as Canadian moose for the B&C record books! You have a the highest chance of taking Record Book Moose and Caribou in this region of BC On a horseback hunt we use the horses to get up high and glass for moose or we will cover ground while hunting the edges of the timber and willow draws calling for exciting action. Most hunters add caribou onto this hunt with great success. Without doubt we offer B.C.s best Moose/Caribou combination hunt, in the past every hunter has had a shot at one animal and most harvesting both trophies. Hunt on horse, stay in cabin and or new wall tent spike camps. One hunter per guide. This hunt is normally booked 2-3 years out but due to the clients drawing New Mexico Elk tags we had to move their hunt. 1x1 Price $27,500 + *****$15,000 Harvest fee on 2nd Species. ( per hunter - 2 spots available) Next opening for this hunt is 2026 Please call or email for more detailed information PDF or references of this hunt.

Where you will stay
Cabins or Wall Tent Camp
Hunters can choose to fly to Whitehorse, Yukon or drive to our Boya lake Ranch, base camp, the charter float plane picks you up there to fly into your camp and meet your guide. We put a great deal of time and thought in choosing the camp which you will hunt, depending on what you are hunting and the seasonal distribution of those animals. We want ALL hunters to do well and have the hunt of a lifetime, so depending on the hunt you may stay in cabins or wall tents, or on some early hunts quality mountain tents may be used as well. If you have a special need please advise us BEFORE the hunt is booked. You may hunt directly from the camp you fly into or your guide might choose to “spike out” to another camp that he feels offers better potential for success. For those who finish hunting early we have great fishing and game bird hunting at many of our camps, this is included at no charge with all of hunts.

- Aside from helping where you can… Your job is to shoot well when the time comes. This is the one aspect of the hunt we can’t do. Only shoot when you are comfortable and know you can make a clean quick kill. It is ONLY your fault if you pull the trigger and miss or wound in any circumstance. We will do our best to get you ready and present a shot. Be ready. All efforts will be made to retrieve wounded animals, a wounded animal is a harvested animal. If a hunter passes on a legal animal he may continue to hunt but the harvest fee will be forfeited. If the animal is missed he may continue to hunt but harvest fee is forfeited. if the animal is wounded and the guide feels its just a flesh wound the hunt may continue but the harvest fee is lost, however, if you continue to take poor percentage shots and wound another then the hunt will be finished. it's only fair to the animals. If it is a fatal hit the hunt is over for that species and the harvest fees will be lost. Any shots in the guts will be considered to have killed the animal.
