Price distribution
In Tanzania, the East African Bush Duiker can be hunted on a 16 – 21 day license. The daily rates for these safaris range from $1650 - 1950 per day. Trophy fees for East African Bush Duiker are $450-500. It is unlikely that any hunter would go to these countries to just shoot a Duiker making these animals more of a trophy of opportunity. The daily rates quoted in these cases exclude anti-poaching and community development fees which are listed amongst the extras.
When to hunt East African Bush Duiker?
The Ugandan and Tanzanian hunting seasons run from 1 July to 31 December. However, the Tanzanian hunting season has been extended after the Covid pandemic lockdown experienced in 2020. Whether this is a temporary or permanent arrangement that remains to be seen. The best months for hunting East African Bush Duikers are the dry months of August to October when the vegetation is sparse making for better visibility hunting conditions.
