It is a wide and open area (more than 3.000 hectares) located in the north of Palencia province (Spain), close to Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente Cobre Natural Park. It combines open areas without trees with oak forests over hills and terraced areas. The difficulty to stalk is low-medium.

Hotel
This elegant hotel is set in a restored 12th century monastery. It offers a pretty courtyard, gardens and free internet connection. The heated rooms at El Convento feature elegant décor. All feature a TV and private bathroom. Super rooms offer a rain-effect shower and a unique sound and lighting system. The hotel serves a continental breakfast daily and its gourmet restaurant offers traditional, regional dishes made with local produce. The Bar provides the perfect setting to relax and enjoy local wines. Tourist information can be provided and the hotel provides a good base for hiking and cycling and exploring the surrounding towns and villages. Aguilar de Campóo, its Reservoir and the Cildá Mountain are 4.3 mi away. The hotel offers free parking and is around 1 hours’ drive from Burgos, Santander and Palencia.

Anreise
The client will fly to Madrid airport (MAD) where you will be picked up by the outfitter and driven to base camp (3 and a half hours). All travels during the hunt are by car. If the client requires to be picked up in another airport we could manage other possibilities.

Excellent Experience
This is my second hunt with Ignacio. We hunted SE Ibex in southern Spain. Ignacio is extremely helpful in every sense! He takes care of all the paperwork, accommodations, tags, licenses, and more. The hunter just has to show up and hunt! Ignacio runs his business with so much care and consideration for the customer and their family. Ignacio invited myself, my wife, and son to dinner every night, and made sure we all had an excellent time. It was a great experience. He is so inclusive and very considerate. The quality of the hunt, animals, and hunting grounds were second to none! We saw multiple animals that were mature. I ended up harvesting an animal on the first day of the hunt. I highly recommend hunting with Ignacio. He is the most professional hunting guide and outfitter I have ever used. However, the best thing about the hunting trip is the memories made and a friend for life! Thanks Ignacio!

Fantastic Eperience!
Ignacio does an amazing job! I have hunted internationally (South Africa, New Zealand, Kyrgyzstan, Zimbabwe) as well as Alaska on multiple ocasions, and I can honestly say that this has been one of the best experiences. I traveled with my rifle, and Ignacio made sure everything was in order prior to my trip and had everything ready to go when I arrived. We hunted in great areas, and were able to see a lot of game. I was able to harvest great animals, and Ignacio was very committed to making sure I had the opportunity to take an impressive trophy. I would not hesitate to hunt with Ignacio again, and I am already planning my next hunting trip to Spain.
I truly had no complaints. If you are looking for an exceptional guide and experience look no further.
great, challenging hunt
This was my first hunt with Ignacio, but certainly not my last. We hunted South eastern ibex and I was able to bag a good buck. the game and the landscape are stunning. for me at the age of 65, the trip was challenging, but that's what makes a good mountain hunt. Ignatio's rifle is perfect for mountain hunting and shoots very precisely. You can confidently rent it and save yourself the hassle of travelling with your own gun After nearly 100 hunting trips in foreign countries and several years living in Namibia I can say that Ignacio is one of the best and in all things most correct and polite professional hunters I have hunted with.
the hotel was quite noisy, but that is the Spanish way of life and is far outweighed by the excellent cuisine
