Where to hunt Beceite Ibex
Beceite ibex, along with Ronda, Gredos and southeastern ibex, is one of the four types of ibex to be found in Spain. From biological point of view, Ronda and southeastern ibex form one subspecies, and Gredos and Beceite ibex the other, but trophy books have different entries for each of the species because of significant difference in size and shape of the horns. The Beceite Ibex inhabits the mountain ranges of Spain that are located roughly between Madrid, the capital city and a great transport hub, and the Mediterranean Coast near Valencia, another popular tourist destination.
Price distribution
Beceite ibex hunting provides one of the most affordable opportunities for mountain hunting, provided the hunter is after the experience of the chase and does not put much value on the horns of the trophy. Management or female hunts start as low as $3,200, and package hunts that include a decent, but not record-book, male trophy, go for $5,000-7,000. On the other hand, trophy fees for a record book class trophy can be as high as $15,000 or more. Don’t forget to add the cost of preparing and shipping your trophy back home. The more expensive ibex hunts are usually package deals, with more than one trophy or species included, or calculated for a group of a few hunters.

The Beceite ibex hunting season is generous, and lasts from November 1 to May 31. The best time for ibex hunting is usually the rut, which happens in late November – early December. Some hunters, however, prefer to hunt the end of the season, in late April and May. The mountains are supposed to be easier to traverse in spring than in winter.
