Common duiker hunting in Namibia {{ totalToursString }}
Common Duiker is a medium-sized Duiker and also known as Grey or Bush Duiker. They are classified as a member of the “Tiny Ten” or pygmy antelope group by the SCI record book. Only the males have horns and a tuft of hair on the head sometimes makes them look like they have a third horn.
This well-adapted nocturnal animal is active in the early morning and evening and can be hunted across the country except the arid western regions of the country. Trophy quality is the same for most of the country. They are found in pairs and the males will aggressively defend their territory from other males.
Common Duiker is not a water-dependent species, so may be encountered anywhere. They are often found near human settlements and may feed on planted pastures and flower gardens at night.
Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, no special hunting permits are required.
